Welcome to Townsend Wealth Management
LPL Financial Advisor in Denver
I have been helping individuals and small businesses with their financial needs for the past 23 years. My career began at RBC Wealth Management as a Financial Consultant in 1993. Recently, I have moved on as an independent Registered Representative with LPL Financial. Turmoil in the Financial Markets has made it more important than ever to take a long term perspective when assessing individual financial needs. As a LPL Financial Advisor I never have pressure to sell proprietary products or meet production goals.
I received my undergraduate degree in Business from the University of Wyoming in 1989 and my MBA from Denver University in 1993. In graduate school I learned the true value of diversification in constructing investment portfolios. The last 15 years with an emphasis on 2008 and the first half of 2009 have put an exclamation point on that education. Working with me you will never be put in an investment structure that does not address your needs and comfort level. I utilize many types of investments in portfolios. This allows me to gain exposure to large and small company stocks both international and domestic along with bonds and real estate.
I grew up in Evergreen Colorado and have lived in the Denver area for the last 20 years. I attended the University of Wyoming on a ski scholarship for my undergraduate studies and was a First Team All-American at the 1989 NCAA Skiing Championships in Jackson Hole Wyoming. In 1991 I was hit by a drunk driver as a pedestrian and I am now paralyzed from the chest down. Life in a wheelchair has taught me the true value of living every day of life to the fullest. If we work together I will bring that enthusiasm along with experience in making sure your financial needs are always treated with diligence and care.
